Welcome to my 40th Birthday Bash! Actually, it wasn't my own personal party. It was also for my high school buddies, Alvin and Brad. We all celebrated "The Big Four-O" together. You can meet them below. As you can imagine, they're so excited about being on the internet. *grin*

Hugs,
Shellie

Here's our Happy Birthday cake, setting the night's theme immediately.

Okay, here's proof positive that I'm not vain. My undergarment, (worn above my clothes for modesty sake), reads left appendage to right, "We've fallen and we can't get up." I was also fond of my bi-focals and the cane that read, "Make fun of my age and I'll whip you over the head with my cane."

My girlfriends "dressed" me inside. My husband, Phil, was out on the patio with the men. Here's a great shot of his reaction to my getup.

The happy honorees, (and I use that term loosely), -- Alvin, Me and Brad.

That's Mary Margaret, Alvin's wife, who was nice enough to have this thing at her house. I hope she recovers soon. Hey, check out those steaming mudbugs!

My good friends, Nelson and Kay, smiling for the camera!

This is Brad's wife. Her name is Angela, but she goes by "Boo". Isn't that cute?

That's J.T. with the messy hands and Evelyn in the background.

Hey, everyone -- take a break from piggin' out and smile for the camera.

My girlfriends, left to right from the front:
Rhonda, Karen, Me, Kristie, Cindy,
Debbie, Mary, Elizabeth, Kay, Evelyn, Julie and Boo! Thanks everyone-- it was truly a night to remember, or is that to forget? *grin* ~Shellie
