All Things Southern News:

Hmmm...I've been a negligent hostess as far as the ,b>ATS news page goes. Looks like I haven't been
here in two FULL years! *grin* Now,in my defense, a lot has happened in two years around here. I
won't try to fill you in on everything, just the latest, which is what this page was originally
designed to do. Let's see...we have new t-shirts since this page was updated and I've just released
a new All Things Southern Hot Sauce. You can find the items in the online store. Why not go shopping? *grin*
What else? Well, back in Nov. I celebrated my first full year on CBS affiliate, KNOE TV8. You can
find the current segment on the homepage. Oh--and the radio show has just picked up another affilate, KFNV 101.7 FM out of Ferriday, LA. If you'd like to hear ATS segments on
your local station, why not email me with the call letters and info? You can also contact Rhonda, my marketing director, with
that information.
Okay, that's all I can think of right now. I'll be on the porch if you want to chat...

I'm happy to be able to welcome the newest station to pick up The All Things
Southern Radio Show: KWCL in Oak Grove, Louisiana. You can get to know Irene
and Ivy and the rest of the gang here. They were
recently interviewed on an entertaining show called Backroads. You might
enjoy some of the other Backroads' features while you're there.

Sunlite Radio in Oak Lawn, Illinois has picked up The All
Things Southern Radio Show. They'll begin airing it in December. Bless those sweet
Yankees' hearts. It just goes to show you how all-inclusive our porch
is, doesn't it? ~smile~

Okay porchers, I've got to let y'all in on what is happening around
here. I'm sure you know, even if you haven't been able to hear the show,
that I've been taking these features and doing a radio show on two local
stations. Well, the feedback has been great and I'm in the process of
trying to get the thing syndicated, (fancy talk for going on a lot more
stations). That's a lot easier to say than it is to do, trust me. ~smile~
There's a lot to do! By the way, the show will be reformatted also. Instead
of running twice a day/four days a week, it will run once a day/five days
a week.
Yes, I know this is right in the middle of the holidays. It's gonna be a
wild ride for a little while. There's a couple ideas below for anyone who
wants to get involved. (If that's not you--feel free to check out now,
I'll see you next week. Have a good one!)
1. If you want to have the ATS Radio Show on your local Country, Christian,
or Talk Radio station, I can mail you a Demo CD that you can take to your
station. Or, you can email me the name of the station and the General
Manager and I'll add them to my list of people to contact.
2. If you're a potential sponsor, or know someone who is--holler at me.
The ad rates are extremely reasonable. If you work for a regional or
national company that would be a good fit with ATS, holler louder!
example: Krispy Kreme, Community Coffee...*grin*

I had a lot of fun today! A sweet lady from "The News-Star World" in Monroe,
Louisiana came out to interview me for the paper. Looks like everyone
wants to know what is happening here on our porch. Their photographer had
me pose on top of Phil's tractor. ~grin~ If you want to read the
article, it's supposed to be in Sunday's paper. (That would be the 20th.)
You can find the paper online here.

Hi folks,
I'm looking for some feedback. Folks have been asking if I have
my book, "Lessons Learned on Bull Run Road", available in audio.
Presently, the answer is no. I'm thinking about fixing that if
there are enough of you folks interested. It'd take a few studio hours
but I could get Jonathan to tape me reading the stories. Now, maybe
you've read my book, and would like to get it in audio, or you'd like
to give it to a friend that doesn't read a lot, but spends a lot of time
in their car. Or maybe you don't like to read--but you like
to listen. Regardless, let me know if you'd like a CD of this country
voice reading my stories aloud. Important Note To All: Your emails
would not be a contract. ~grin~ No one is going to expect you to
order one if you say you're interested and I decide to do it--scout's honor. Oh, and the CD's...they'd be $10
including shipping and handling.
Drop me a line if you're interested.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here's an announcement for those of you who have asked about getting a copy of
the ATS Radio Show. ( By the way, have I said, THANK YOU for your interest?
If not, THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST!) Now, if that's you, I'll be happy to
"burn" you a CD for $7.00, that includes shipping and handling although
Louisiana residents will have to include tax. Just send your check or money
order to ATS at 2007 Island Point Drive, Lake Providence, La. 71254 and let
me know which issue you want. Until next week...
Here's the link for 88.7 FM The Cross.
Those air times for the All Things Southern Radio Show are 10:50 and 2:50, Tuesday
through Friday! When you hear this old country voice, you'll know you're in the
right place. *grin*
Just a reminder. If you're already a member of ATS and you're
interested in my ebook, "Raising Southern Ladies and Men of Honor
in Today's Culture", drop me an email. I'm offering the ebook to
new subscribers when they sign up, but I'd hate for you to feel
left out. (You can read more about the ebook here).
Have you seen the ATS Porch Album? You have? Well, where are
your pictures? You've got the t-shirt, jump in front of a camera
and smile. Remember, the first pic in from each state will "host"
that state's mini-page. You can compose a little "hello" and a
link to your site or product if you have one. I'm looking forward
to "seeing" you. If you don't have your shirt, you can get it at
the online
store.)
