A Surprise Award from the ESGR
Hello folks,
I had a wonderful surprise Monday. The officers of the American Legion Post Thirteen of Monroe, LA, committe members
of the Louisiana ESGR, "Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve", presented me with a "Five Star Award". I
could not have felt more honored as the award is in recognition of my support of the our military. If you have been around
my porch for any length of time, you know that I am a patriot to the core. My only regret is that I was dressed down in
blue jeans of all things. Forgive me, I didn't mean to be disrespectful, the ceremony just caught me off guard! *grin*
Here are a few pictures of the signing...

Left to right would be Mr. Ed Johnson commander of Post Thirteen, myself and Mr. Darryl Adkerson, adjuntant of Post Thirteen.

I'm signing the award with Mr. Adkerson and his beautiful wife, Pat.

Jack N. Humphries, Northease LA Chair of the ESGR pins me with the award.

I was remiss in getting all of the names down on paper so I'm not going to risk it and name these sweet
men from memory! We'll just call this a group photo of my wonderful friends at Post Thirteen. I love you
and appreciate you all.

Oh, and one last photo...That's Chuck, the Birthday Boy, that I'm holding onto. That troublemaker to
my left encouraged me to give Chuck a birthday hug! I will treasure the memory of this day shared
with the ESGR. I remain honored to be in your midst...
Hugs,
Shellie
